 Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize all payroll changes received from the Operations,
  • Process payroll input on VIP People Payroll complying with data quality standards and payroll procedures;
  • Upload payroll batch interfaces;
  • Run a full end to end payroll process;
  • Interface Kronos T&A and reconcile output to VIP People;
  • Resolve T&A issues with T&A Lead;
  • Capture monthly 3rd Party changes and liaise with 3rd parties on queries;
  • Submit all medical aid changes to Discovery and FFG timeously for registration;
  • Produce Payroll Reports required by the business;
  • Distribute payslips to Operations and HO employees;
  • Support HR, management and employees with payroll matters;
  • Review Kronos T & A System weekly for exceptions and alert users to address exceptions;
  • Be actively involved in office administration duties relating to the efficient record keeping and coordination of related documentation and information;
  • Validate payroll data for IRP5 submissions monthly. Attend regional 3rd party distributor sales meetings, presenting account performance to date & opportunities going forward.

Formal Qualification:

  • Minimum Matric
  • Relevant payroll qualification or equivalent

Skills and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a large payroll environment

Skills and Competencies:

  • Have in depth knowledge of payroll legislation and ability to calculate PAYE,
  • Experience in payroll systems preferably VIP People,
  • Have basic accounting knowledge,
  • Have a high level of computer literacy and be proficient in the use of MS Office applications,
  • Have the capability to operate under pressure and work in a deadline driven environment,
  • Have a methodical and organized approach to daily work task,
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in processing data,
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with the HR community,
  • Be a team player and passionate about work,
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality,
  • Have strong administration skills,
  • Be professional and customer orientated,
  • Have investigative and analytical abilities.
