University of Venda – Cheif Library Assistant Job 2017

Requirements: Appointment at Post Level 9 requires a Bachelor’s degree or a three-year National Diploma in Library and Information Science plus three years’ experience working in a library environment, whilst appointment at Post Level 10 requires a Matric Certificate, or a Diploma plus at least three years’ relevant experience. Candidates must also be computer literate.

Duties: Among other duties the Chief Library Assistant Shelving’s responsibilities will include overall management of shelving. This includes supervision of the shelving staff, training and management of student assistants, maintenance of book collection and participation in library stock-taking.
