All the winners at the 2017 SAFTAs

THE 11th annual South African Film and Television Awards took place this past Saturday at Sun City, Johannesburg. The theme for this year’s awards was “SA has got it, let’s celebrate it”. The awards are aimed at celebrating the talent that the country has, and showing appreciation to the stars in the industry.

Over 400 production companies submitted their entries, with 258 nominees in 89 categories. Thando Thabethe and Katlego were the hosts of the evening and the awards ceremony was broadcast on SABC 2.
