2019 MWEB HR Internship Programme

The MWEB Human Resources division in Cape Town currently has a vacancy for a HR Intern reporting to the HR Manager.

The incumbent will be accountable for assisting the team in various HR Functions including but not limited to Recruitment and Selection, Organisational Development, Remuneration & Benefits, Administration & Reporting and Employee/Industrial Relations related activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Recruitment and Selection- provide support by assisting with the full recruitment process from advertising to placing candidates.
  • Training and Development- support and co-ordinate training and deployment activities.
  • Payroll and Administration- support executing recruitment and benefits, administration process and activities.
  • Industrial relations- participate in a range of Employee Relations/ industrial Relations activities and task.

General Administration
• To assist with administration of new starters and terminations.
• Correct filing of Employee records.
• Completing the HR internal Audit on Employee records.
• Assist with updating Employee records:
• Meet with employees to ensure current personal records are correct.
• Arrange for outstanding documentation to be completed and returned.
• Ensure Employee records are filed correctly and data easily accessible.
• Create employee starter, welcome and party packs
• To assist HR Team when required with administration
• Book meetings and training rooms.
• Distribution of employee documents.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 
• Matric and Diploma/Degree/B-tech Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology
• Knowledge of BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act and Skills Development Act
• Computer proficiency in MS Office packages (Word and Excel specifically) and Outlook
• Some working experience will be advantageous
