Job Context LANDSCAPING & TURF, A DIVISION OF SERVEST HAS A GAUTENG BASED VACANCY FOR A TRAINING MANAGER REPORTING TO THE DIVISIONAL HR MANAGER
An experienced training and development manager is needed in our division to devise our organizational training strategy aligned to a learning organisation, oversee its implementation and assess its outcomes. The successful incumbent will identify training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build talent within our division and prepare the organisation for skills of the future.

Minimum Requirements
ETDP Qualification will be advantageous
Accreditation with various SETAs as Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator (AgriSETA will be an added advantage)
Hands on experience as a Skills Development Facilitator
Proven work experience as a Training Manager or Training Specialist in a similar environment
Track record in designing and executing successful management training programs
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
Good computer and database skills

Key Performance Indicators
Conduct needs analysis
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
Learning Delivery
Deploy a wide variety of training methods
Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
Manage training budget and drive strategy Implementation
Talent Management and Development
Provide opportunities for ongoing development
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Training content design, pilot and facilitation
Design, develop and maintain accredited material – AgriSETA, Landscaping, Horticulture, Design, Management, Leadership
Evaluation, business reporting and administration
Manage the assessing and moderating of formative and summative assessments
Prepare, conduct and manage AgriSETA verifications
