MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• Grade 10 Literacy level
• Code 14 driver’s license. Valid PDP
• Medically fit
• Dangerous goods qualification
• Five years driving experience

Skills and Knowledge

• Defensive driving
• Function and location of vehicle components
• Road Traffic Act (i.e. operating a vehicle)
• Driver actions regarding to weather/road/traffic conditions
• Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
• Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
• Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Vehicle loading techniques

Job Specification Key Performance Areas Prepare vehicle for trip and operate medium / heavy duty vehicles Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holidays Safe driving record and clean criminal record
